Although the movie is not perfect it has some issues, these being an unentertaining climax, a weak performance from "Keanu Reeves" and a weak death. Theres a rumor that has been a-floatin around since last year that said that some very silly people are going to do its more the kind of stupid that makes you wonder how much flavored vodka. If you are a person who enjoys 1990's Action movies then I recommend you watch "Point Break" as it has a great plot, thrilling scenes mixed with amazing music. A young FBI agent infiltrates an extraordinary team of extreme sports athletes he suspects of masterminding a string of unprecedented, sophisticated corporate heists. The late "Donald Peterman" filmed "Point Break" exceptionally using no close ups or shaking the camera. In past "Mark Isham" has created thrilling and exciting music for his films and "Point Break" is no exception. The 2015 version tries to be part original Point Break, part xXx and part eco-warrior-meets-gangster. Joy and Point Break star Edgar Ramirezs resume is about to become a lot more. "Reeves" gives the audience a calm performance instead of a strong and angry performance, as he should. I received Point Break the remake for review. "Keanu Reeves" isn't one of "Hollywood's" best actors in fact he receives a lot of hate for this. The film's climax is actually disappointing as it is unentertaining due to the unsatisfactory justice of the antagonist. The action sequences are extremely entertaining to watch, they make it look like "Utah"" is truly about to get hurt. Throughout the movie it shows "Utah" and "Pappas" busting big criminals.
This is a great opening to the film as it shows what the movie is about. Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the architects of this. The movie opens with "Utah" practicing his shooting while mixed with scenes of people surfing. The athletes are suspected of carrying out a spate of crimes in extremely unusual ways. Once knowing this "Utah" goes undercover to find out who the "Ex- Presidents" really are. "Utah's" co-worker "Angelo Pappas" portrayed by "Gary Busey" has a theory that the "Ex- Presidents" are surfers. The plot to "Point Break" is a young "Johnny Utah" portrayed by "Keanu Reeves" joins the "F.B.I." and takes on the new case of a group of 4 bank robbers named the "Ex-Presidents.
"Point Break" captures the thrill and intensity of a 1990's classic.
